Parking Eye. Britannia Airport Inn.

Hello
I've received and acknowledged a County Court Claim Form in relation to a parking 'offence' in Btitannia Airport Inn car park in 2014.
I have emailed Britannia customer services asking them to contact Parking Eye and have my parking charge cancelled.
Has anyone had any luck with this approach to Britannia?
Should I have put it in writing as opposed to email?
Anyone with experience of this particular car park on Wilmslow Road near Manchester airport?
Thanks.

Google parking prankster and get his guide to defending court claims. It costs a couple of quid but is well worth it.0

Parking Eye make their money by people ignoring and not taking seriously enough their false invoices. Research this matter extremely seriously on here, Pepipoo and Parking Prankster and you will win. Read up the various threads and be very timely with the processes involved.
Always worth a try with the Brittannia but they may be getting commissions on the deal with PE.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0 -
If the Brittania are not cooperative you may wish to say that you will put a warning note on Tripadvisor!REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0

I really don't think this company (voted Britain's worst hotel chain by Which) are bothered in the slightest about their bad image to be honest!Northlakes wrote: »If the Brittania are not cooperative you may wish to say that you will put a warning note on Tripadvisor!

And it's a fair bet PE are giving them a rake off too!0 -
PE issue tens of thousands of court claims each year , including the Beavis case which went to the COA in london last tuesday
check post #5 of the NEWBIES sticky thread for more court claim advice too0 -
Start preparing the defence as mentioned above you shouldnt delay with this, however you should also start to apply maximum pressure on the hotel.
Im guessing that the Hotel isnt local to you? if it is/was then you could pop in and have a word after preparing something to say to the hotel manager.
One approach to deal with the hotel if they are un co-operative would be to tell them to stop their agents from pursuing this unlawful penalty, otherwise you may hold the hotel liable for your costs, and the worry that they have/are causing you as a result of their agents, parking eyes actions.
Keep an accurate log of the time you are spending on thisFrom the Plain Language Commission:

Also, make sure that court are aware of the court of appeal hearing that was heard on 24/2/15 (PE v Beavis), and request a stay pending the result of that hearing.0
