New garage door + fitting - recommendations midlands?

Does anyone have any recommendations on who to use to supply and fit a new garage door in the midlands.

I have a double garage, with two single openings and a pillar in the middle.

Annoyingly the RSJ is actually two RSJ's each side reseting on the pillar. So i need this replacing.

I need to gain length so i'm hoping to remove the pillar and fit a new double door, perhaps one of those roller doors, but i want to move it from being fitted on the inside to being fitted flush with the front brickwork, so no recess, this will gain me about 20 cms.

Any recommendations on who to use in the midlands / staffordshire please?

You're going to be limited on choice if you are looking for 1 company to both supply and fit.

I've used "The Garage Door Company" in the past .... but like any 'home improvement' Co' you will be paying an unneccesary and exhorbitant premium for the very nice salesman, the glossy brochure, the sign written van and the uniformed fitters !

If you can source the door yourself, then the cost to get a jobbing builder to knock out the pillar, fit the RSJ and install the door will be a fraction of what the likes of "The Garage Door Company" would charge.

I used "The garage Door Company" to fit an electric opener. Was very pleased with their work. They sent a chap to come and measure up, then a second one about 2 weeks later to do the fitting. He adjusted the door so that it closed firmly for no extra charge. No connection with the company, except as a happy customer.

When I moved up here we used these for spares for one of those old slide sideways wooden arrangements. Nothing was too much trouble. Later we had an electric sectional door fitted & it's great. That was about 10 years ago & everything is still fine.
    They're in Cannock.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
