HELP!! Student Finance refusing to pay out?!

What bad advice has there been on the thread? It looks to me as if everyone has said pretty much the same as you, that the OP is out of luck.
So even if you dnt take the money, its still classed as having taken it. You are currently in yr 5th year of study, so your entitlement stops at the end of this academic year.
You should have got your parents to fund yr final year, not yr first. Even if this wasnt made clear to you at the outset, i doubt you will get far complaining as all the sfe paperwork clearly states how funding works
This isn't relevant to the OP. If you're ever entitled to funding for part of a course, student finance make you self-fund the start and take the finance at the end.
You are entitled to degree course length + 1. So 5 years study.
You have studied for 5 years, now going into 6th. Your 5 years are now gone.
As above. Also as I mentioned the fact that a foundation degree has been completed changes the situation.
Complain and/or send a letter with evidence of them telling you this to them.
What would be the point of this other than catharsis?
Reading it again though, I'm not clear whether funding for years 2&3 has been provided?Sealed Pot Challenge #239

Which is what OP did! Self financed for the first year and then was told would be entitled to funding for the remainder. Now it seems that the funding should have been for a 4 year course plus the gift year = 5 years. Which is what OP is claiming.
I would go back to them and get them to check that they have marked down your self financing year correctly.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I think their mistake was giving the funding for years 2 and 3.Sealed Pot Challenge #239

I'll admit my knowledge of student funding is very limited, but at least I can write a proper sentence in English. So much for the education you've had to date, the taxpayer seems to have had a raw deal if that's an example of your writing ability.0
