eBay buyer not in the UK -parcel going to a shipping centre query

SITREP:
Quite a pricey camera sold recently and I have been credited with the funds.
No issue with that until I went to print off the postal label and realised that the buyer is actually in France, but the address to ship to is a shipping company in Derbyshire.
No problem with French people etc, but I always make my auctions UK buyers only so I can send items tracked etc.
How will tracking work if it goes to a shipping centre in Derbyshire -in relation to any potential claim the item did not arrive with the buyer?
i.e. If it's tracked/signed for then surely I am sending it not to the buyer and therefore it 'could' go missing and I'd be refunding automatically under eBay rules?
Or is it good enough I can later prove it was delivered to the address supplied to me by the buyer?
Any advice would be really welcome, as I don't want any potential issues with this.
Thanks,

You have been enrolled in the 'Global Shipping Programme' which means your items can be purchased from any country in the world.
The address in Derbyshire is Ebay themselves - send it tracked to that address. They post it to France and supposedly 'take the risk' (although read the current thread about GSP to see the potential drawbacks!)
You might want to consider opting out of the GSP for future sales.0 -
No issue, as long as you have tracking to the delivery address & any issues after that is with the shipping co, whether it be Pitney Bowes [eBay GSP] or the customer's own freight forwarder.
We post to these type of addresses every week & the most popular one is Parcel Motel in Northern Ireland, for Rep of Ireland customers.0 -
Thanks guys. I didn't notice this GSP on that auction but unticked it on others.
Really appreciate the help!Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.

I did the exact same thing when the GSP first started. I was a bit worried, but in the end, everything was fine.
Now I tick / untick as I feel, sometimes I feel there couldn't be any problems shipping overseas, but for other items, I like just to sale in the UK0
