Howdens - extractor replacement

Hi guys. Those who know or trade Howdens I hope might be able to help.
just over 3 years ago I had a Howdens Tenby kitchen fitted. My tradesman is now retired and lives abroad.
I had a Lamona Integrated Turbo extractor fitted. I was warned the opening and closing mechanism was made of cheap plastic and thus take care. Sure enough it broke but we just leave it open and all is well.
But we are now selling up so wanted it fixed. I advertised for a Howdens fitter but have had no interest.
Before I phone Howdens to try and buy one and try my dodgy DIY skills I wondered if anyone new if I could fit an alternative (not cheap plastic) and/or how I might attract someone with the right skills. I tried MyBuilder without success.
I'm in postcode RG20 just on the off chance. Cheers for any suggestions as I want to leave everything perfect to be fair to whoever buys our place

I believe past performance is a good guide to future performance

I have seen those type of integrated extractor hoods in university halls. It doesn't take long before the door (opening/closing mechanism) is broken off!
You can buy a more reliable brand:
http://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/ct/cooker-hoods/integrated-hoods
Or this one that doesn't need to be attached to a door:

Many tx Myser. I think I'll try MyBuilder again but add a grill element replacement to make the job a bit bigger. And if I get someone I'll buy one of those other hopefully stronger extractors from your first link. :beer:I believe past performance is a good guide to future performance :beer:0

Look in your local free newspaper or whatever and pick an electrician in the local area, they'll be able to do both jobs for you.
