SOA. Childcare fees and want to save for a house!

Do either (or both) of you have the option to buy childcare vouchers at work?
That would save you around £125 I think (not sure exactly what the tax rate is but basically you buy them from your untaxed pay so you don't pay tax on that bit.) It's been some years since I was in that situation and I can't remember if there is an upper limit but I do know that you can both buy them to make up the extra amount if there is.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

What sort of things do you do when you go out? If it is meals consider signing up to be a mystery shopper. I've recently done it (so apologies if I'm slightly evangelical about it at the moment :rotfl:) but basically they reimburse you about £20 on a meal (plus pay you a few pounds on top) which doesn't cover the whole bill if there are two of you but if you would be eating out anyway...Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
