IJT Direct flyer prices lower than reality

Our old friends IJT Direct again.
Got a printed booklet of their offers yesterday in the post, as far as I can see none of the stuff is available for the prices shown even after their discount code shown in the booklet is applied, often its more than £10 higher.
How do they get away with it?

Would this be a case for Trading Standards? or BBC Watchdog, etc..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
Yep, def trading standards. But in London my Ealing TS is terrible. Anyone else been sent one of their flyers?0

I got one in the post this morning. As usual, the devil is in the detail: it says Up To 50% of, and then in rather smaller type a note saying that some products are excluded.
Clearly, any amount up to 50% off, even 1%, could be said to fulfill the letter of the offer.
As always, the key thing is to decide if the final price is one you are happy to pay, rather than worrying about the level of discount.0 -
...in London my Ealing TS is terrible.
It really doesn't matter what Ealing Trading Standards are like.
Anyone with a problem like this should use the Citizens Advice consumer helpline:
If appropriate, CAB will pass on concerns to the relevant Trading Standards department, i.e. the TS dept where the trader is based.
Not too sure how that works with IJT Direct being in Jersey though.0
