How long for valuation?

Hi there,

We accepted an offer on our flat 3 weeks ago tomorrow and we still haven't had our buyers valuation on our flat. She's an investor and so far as I am aware she has her mortgage agreed. It seems odd that we haven't had her valuation. Our estate agents are chasing her broker- on Tuesday he said we should hear within the next 2-3 days, but still nothing. I applied for my mortgage last Wednesday, my valuation was done this Wednesday and I had my offer yesterday- so I don't get why her valuation is taking so long.

Any experiences of others as to how quickly valuations happen?

Thanks!

For us it was over 2 months between accepting the buyers' offer and their valuation taking place. That was over three weeks ago and they still haven't had their offer through.

So it can take a while.

I depends. When I bought my house the surveyor who usually covered y area was off sick and it took almost 3 weeks from mortgage application to them to be able to get someone to travel up and conduct the valuation.

My mortgage company said that the valuation would take place no more than 5 working days after I made the payment for it to them
