I was on 28.9 % with Barclaycard plucked up courage to call and ask for a better deal to clear debt and was given 6.9% for 2 years ,so happy thank you Martin.

A step in the right direction. However I would be looking for another card to do a balance transfer to and that way the debt will be cleared even quicker.0 -
I was thinking of doing the same but was wondering if it would negatively affect my credit file0

Applying for a new card will have a short term impact but unless you plan to get a mortgage next week I wouldn't worry. Use the eligibility checker on here first0
