  • Oops

    Well spotted
  • I'm currently in the process of having been contacted by a company who informed me of the death of a distant relative and being a possible beneficiary. The company concerned have been extremely helpful. I negotiated their fee down to 15% from 30%. When someone dies 'Intestate' ie no will, their details are published on a Government Website. Apparently my relative left £100,000 plus. Without this company contacting me I would never have known this relative had passed away as I moved from my home town over 40yrs ago. If I had decided not to sign with this company I would have been faced with a shed load of work tracing relatives, birth and death certificates etc myself. So 15% is money well spent in my book. It's all still ongoing some 10 months down the line as part of my family moved to the USA which takes time to trace. My thoughts are their 15% has been well earned due to the amount of investigative work involved.

You are clearly an heir hunter yourself, and have posted to try to make the business sound more palatable.
