Morning all,
beautiful sunshine here. Not very warm though unfortunately.
Just the usual jobs in the house to do today. Youngest is off to see his Lady love in Doncaster so it will be one less in the house the weekend. I'll get the pitchfork in whilst he has gone I think. I could do with washing his curtains and cleaning on the tops of his wardrobes.
Spoke to 3 of my kids this morning on Whatsapp. Group messages are fun when one of the group doesn't know what the other 2 are on about.
Daughter number 2 has reminded me its her birthday soon (as if I didn't know, I was there at the time she must forget). Ive reminded her ive bought her son a new full sized cot for his overnight stays. Don't think she was expecting that!
Daughter number 1 is not in pain after her visit to the chiropractor.... I still worry about her though.
I think my little Zulu Grandson is going to be a rock star! What do you think?
Onwards and forwards,

Morning, OH did the Friday clean for me, I still have not got over the shock, whilst I was making the gratin for tonights supper.
I am off shortly to visit my quilting friend for an afternoon of chat and tea drinking.
Line full of laundry out, its quite sunny but windy with it, warmer indoors!!0 -
Hard frost last night, but it has been lovely and sunny all day with a bit of a breeze, so washing is on the line.
Went shopping this morning and vowed never to go on a Friday ever again  We only went today instead of yesterday because it is payday.
Didn't need a lot so we did all of the shopping and out in less than half an hour, thank goodness for my lists.
DS is cooking dinner tonight because I have been in so much pain for the last couple of days.
Luckily both of my two have been "cooking" since they were toddlers. I started them off with biscuits that they rolled out and they just stayed with me in the kitchen from then on and they are now good frugal cooks
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Afternoon All
Lovely day again here, nice blue sky but rather breezy, which is taking the top off the temperatures. Thank heavens for our wall (we had it built a couple or three years ago, so we now have a lovely sheltered sun trap on our patio).
Sad news today our next door neighbour in the UK has died, he and he wife were like an extra set of Grandparents to our DS. She died a couple of years ago, again when we were out here, so DS will once again go to the funeral on ours and his own behalf. RIP Uncle Ralph.:A When small DS would pop in to see them after being out with us, to re-appear two seconds later, saying I have to put old clothes on Mum I'm playing with Uncle Ralph in the garden. Also means we will have new neighbours too, hope they are nice.
DH is recovering from his flu/cold, the sighs are less frequent, anyway.
My keyboard died out here, so been to go and get another one, but it is too compact, and a short space bar, so will try to exchange it for a full size one, but they are not open again until Monday.
((hugs)), Spoons, positive vibes all round. Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Well that was a really clever end to the day...... I fell down the stairs!! No bones broken, but my right foot is beginning to look an interesting colour. I have it sitting on an ice block. Taking arnica to help the bruising,
Guess I may be out of action for a couple of days.0 -
Evening all,
Slept late this morning, was just about to get up when DD3 rang from Australia and we were on for more than an hour.....think OH though that I was in a coma I was so late in bed! Just had a cuppa when I got up and we had an early lunch at about 12.30.......lamb chop, mash, turnip, peas and green beans......2 choccy biscuits afterwards, havent eaten since , will have a salad or something soon, but not really hungry yet.
Went for another short walk with OH and Mossy, felt a bit stiff, hopefully that means that my muscles are building up again, hate going but am glad I did when I get back....have never been very active but really need to get a bit fitter.....keep meaning to go to aquarobics but never get round to getting myself together to do it.
My brother, two nephews, their wives and his 17 month old grandson are off to Italy in the morning for a week, we have had younger nephew, OH and greatnephew here this afternoon, he is a lovely little boy, seems very advanced to me.......he has been in USA, Italy and Cuba in his short life, so maybe thats a factor.
Sunny again here today, but cold, did not put clothes on line as cant move fast enough to rescue them if the blow off the line....have had to rewash several things already this week, so not anxious to do it again.
Judi...think you have a musician there. Glad that DD is out of pain, hopefully chiropractor will continue to be able to help her.
Csarina.....do not çomplain, my late mother used to say that a little help was worth a lot of pity, I think that she was right. Glad that you are having a n afternoon off.
Ruby......5 dogs! I know that you will enjoy them for the weekend, dont think that I could handle so many, I find Bran and Mossy hard going when they are here for a few days.
Dumpling....my sympathy re March birthdays, I have 5 in February so just recovering financially.
TA.....would definitely think it too cold for a caravan at present, stayed in static ones years ago when the children were young, not sure I would do it now, in spite of the freedom it gives.
Have a good weekend everybody

Evening everyone
MRI scan done, no waiting around but cost £3 to park. Results will be sent to consultant. Traffic coming home was a bit of a nightmare.
Stepdad not good today, stayed in bed all day. He has been shouting for my mum a lot when she is elsewhere in the house. They have a nurse in tonight so hope she manages some sleep. She is exhausted. I will see how she is tomorrow if things are the same, I may travel up again for 2/3 days.
Os today dh cooked dinner so I loaded Dw. Swept and mopped floors downstairs, never ending job with 2 woofers and muddy garden. Roll on the dry weather.
Csarina - hope your ok and the swelling/bruising goes down.
Redruby - how many dogs have you got staying?
Nmlc - hope your Ds is soon better.
Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.0
