Cheap ways to build an outbuilding?

Hi guys... hoping this is the right place to post.
So, my husband and I have bought a new house, and it has a huge garden (which is great!) One of our longer-term plans is to put some sort of outbuilding in the garden which will be a workshop-come-office (which will hopefully double as a rarely used bedroom if we ever have an overspill of guests).
Now, I have recently been given a small inheritance - £5000 - and we've earmarked about £2k for stuff inside the house - electrics and plastering etc.
What I'm wondering is if £3k could ever be enough to put some kind of outbuilding at the bottom of the garden. It would need to be well insulated as we'd be spending quite a bit of time down there. We'd also need to put in some kind of toileting facilities so we can use it as a proper office i.e. we wouldn't have to come back in when we were 'at work'.
Is there any way at all? We're willing to look at different building methods and are flexible about materials as long as it's going to last and be warm enough... but it really doesn't feel like that amount would go far enough! Any thoughts? Thank you

If it is your intention to build legally, safely, with a proper standard of workmanship then the answer is a resounding no.
If you wish to turn a blind eye to all accepted standards then who knows what is possible.0 -
Toilet, how far are you planning to build it from the house and where are the drains and water supply in relation to that?0

Begin by buying some of the self-build / home building magazines, and consider going to one of their "shows". Loads of companies will be exhibiting their "flat pack" extensions / outbuildings.
You can also go to "My flat pack home" through the Channel 4 website.
They will give you a run through the kind of things you need to consider, and you will get an idea of prices etc.
Your local building inspector is a useful point of call to tell you the issues you need to address.0
