Hi all,

I just had a nice new air2air heat pump heating installed in my living room, but it doesn't seem to work very well.
I'll talk to the installer tomorrow, but if any of you has any advice, you would be very welcome.

My units are RXS35L2V1B (external) + FTXS35K2V1B (internal).

I measured tonight, 8degC outside, starting at 12degC indoors with a heat target set at 22degC:
The air coming out of the internal unit took 5 minutes to start heating (as expected), but it then settled around 40 degC until the 12th minute. It then climbed to 50, and reached 60degC after 15 minutes.
Is it what I should expect? (From what the installer said, I was expecting it to be at 60deg after 5 minutes, but I'm not sure I understood correctly)

I also measured the power consumption in the morning, and it was consuming 1.1kW, as opposed to the max 0.8kW from the datasheets at these specific inside&outside temperatures (it was 5degC outside then) :/

Thanks for any feedback... Am I worried for nothing? (already the installers had some trouble as it came preloaded with less refrigerant than expected... they also mentioned a valve problem, which was making their first attempt heat slowly and lowly)

I have 2 of the same model Daikin units. When you say 1.1KW what do you mean? Mine, when completely flat out will draw 1.7KW.

Depending on the size of your room will determine how fast it warms up and obviously the temperature outside. What size is your room? 60degrees in 5 minutes is a bit optimistic. 15 minutes sounds about right to me and is comparable with mine. I've had mine 5 years. one thing I would not advise is running them flat out all the time. Which I did with mine often when it was really cold, trying to heat the hallway with the door open. I just had my bedroom outdoor unit pack in this week with a H6 error (compressor failure)

1.1kW is for internal+external unit consumption, measured (precisely) at the mains meter, making sure that everything else in the house was turned off.

According to the datasheet pdf, the external unit is supposed to peek at 0.84kW at these temperatures (5deg outside and 15-20deg inside), while the internal unit is supposed to consume just 0.028kW...
Maybe you have older units though? Mine are supposed to be this year's models...

Room is 24 sq.m, but I'm measuring the air temperature at the output of the internal unit, not the room temperature (and in degC, so not expecting the room to reach 60 degC ;) )

Just talked with the installer and he's talking with Daikin... he mentioned replacing the outside unit :j , so let's see.

Thanks a lot for the feedback already!

Awww Thanks for the advice. I'll make sure I take care.
