Hello,
can anyone recommend a company to set up text to donate with? I'm a fundraiser for Reading Mencap and have started searching but not really come up trumps with anything.
Many thanks

Slight derail. I can never understand why anyone would donate to charity by text message. I would always try to go online to ensure that I could Gift Aid any donations. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Especially elderly prefer it I believe and not everyone is a Gift aider. I don't use text either but I'd think if I was a student or a bit computer illeterate, it would be easier to just textally.0

And then, I believe, I got a text inviting me to Gift Aid! Win win ...and not everyone is a Gift aider.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Definitely to take advantage of 'spur of the moment' giving. We initially raised money for our charity via a crowdfund, but this meant publicising the website, people logging on etc. Some people didn't like making a pledge via dd, others preferred to write a cheque. We've now opened both a JustGiving and MyDonate account along with a text number. As we are raising money for a new playground we are preparing flyers to attach to the specific pieces we are fundraising for, with a text number. It's an easy way for people to make a quick donation there and then.0

Why not use JustGiving? You can setup your own unique code as well.0
