You can agree to Complete on any day you like.
Make sure it is convenient for you both. Bear in mind that if you anticipate Completing on Sat 28th (for example), and you make plans accordingly, Exchange might be delayed the day before and all your plans be disrupted. that is why most people have a gap between Exchange and Completion.
edit: now that you have editied your post, ny answer becomes superfluous....0 -
You might want to be clearer on exactly what you're wanting/planning and when things are happening, because I think this has caused some confusion with G_M's response.
If you're planning on exchanging *and completing* on Friday but your vendor wants to stay in the property until Saturday, the answer is absolutely a "no", followed closely by a "what are you, nuts"?
There are so many things wrong with your vendors wanting this and you even considering allowing it my head just exploded.
If they want to move out on Saturday, complete on Saturday.
Edit: There are several "biggest reasons" to not allow this, but the biggest of the biggest reasons is that your mortgage lender, if you have one, won't agree to it so you'll get no money to be able to complete, assuming you have a mortgage.0 -
You could offer to store their belongings in your new home for 24 hours... for a fee.
You'll need all copies of the keys, and themselves out of the property, when you complete.0 -
Our vendor tried the same trick , as it suited them better (no days off work etc) but were swiftly out in place by the solicitors involvedNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

As completion involves solicitors, and most likely banks, I've never heard of it taking place on a Saturday??
OP - do you mean complete on Friday, not exchange? And therefore your vendor wants to stay in the house after completion? Tell your solicitor to give theirs short shrift. At completion it's your house, not theirs, and they have to get out.0 -
If you having a mortgage to pay part of the price then your solicitor will insist that you have vacant possession on Friday - the lender will require it.
You can't complete on a Saturday because the bank systems aren't working.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -

And some banks can do transfers on a Saturday. If not, a bank draft can be used.
But I agree that in most cases saterday is impossible.0
