Fotosense - Beware

I chose Fotosense to order a camera accessory listed as "in stock". A week later and status was still "processing". I inquired as to why it hadn't been sent and was told they have non in stock and that they would send it at the beginning of the following week. After a few days of receiving nothing I then had a reply saying that it would be a further 2 weeks before they would get any in stock. I asked for a refund which they said they will process. I got an email yesterday confirming the bank refund. Nothing was showing in my account. Today, after another email they have assured me that it has been paid in. As of now it still hasn't.

Reading other reports that other people have had similar problems of orders being advertised in stock and then having to wait a long time. Ditto for the refunds.

I just want to warn anyone thinking of being lured into buying from this dubious company in Bolton.

You need to understand that they have up to fourteen days from the date of receiving your cancellation notification to provide the refund.

Absolutely but why do they tell me it has been sent if it clearly hasn't ?

You seem to think these things happen instantly.

When you paid, the money left your account pretty much instantly. But do you know when the money arrived in the seller's account?

In a similar manner, it is perfectly possible that they are telling the truth, and the money has been returned to you.
They, like you, are subject to the vagaries of the banking systems.

I have paypal and bank accounts. Whenever I have made a transaction online from any of them the money goes accross pretty much instantaneous.

Don't you think the fact that they lied about the item being in stock gives the OP good reason to be suspicious of them telling him things that don't appear to be true?

That and the fact that there appear to be others who have suffered similarly at the hands of this company.

Of course, it could just be incompetence but the warning seems pretty fair and resonable

Guaranteed to annoy the 'duff business' apologists on here, of course. ;)
There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.

Thankyou. I was begining to think I was on my own with this. There seems to be no end of devil's advocates here however strong the case.
