Does this matter?

On my record for my Current account (first direct) i have an orange 1 from August 2011. I am sure this relates to me busting my OD for about £50.
All of my other records for CC, Loans, Utilities etc are all green.
Does this matter? Should i speak to first direct and ask them to consider removing it? (i do not dispute that the information is accurate)
I'd appreciate any views and if it is likely to be affecting any decisions made about my creditworthiness.
Cheers andy.

Hi Andy
It's very unlikely that First Direct will remove or edit any info on your credit file unless it's factually inaccurate. Recording this data is intended to help them (and other organisations) make more informed lending decisions.
In theory, every single piece of data on your credit file can affect how a lender assesses you. Some data, however, will have more of an impact than others. A small unauthorised overdraft that is four years old is unlikely to be a deal-breaker, but the bigger the credit application you are making, the more closely a lender will look at all the intelligence available to them.

Hi Andy
So, four years ago in 2011 you had one slight mishap that lasted all of one month. I really wouldn't worry about it. Mere mortals have the occasional slip up once in a while.
If everything else is fine I honestly wouldn't give this a second thought. I highly doubt any company you apply for credit from will.
Good luck.
