some items of interest on utube , I used to record for later...now when I record the item comes up as recording and on playback is justsmall folders ?..pity as some items would be of interest to grandchildren in scouts.
I use vso downloader [up to date ]

sorry for delay ill. the problem is if for exmp. I recorded a utube video on generator repair ,no problem to watch recording, but other videos show up as written [recording ]while downloading and when I attempt to download or replay on pc they show up as folder with packets inside, not a normal video copy. {packets as the messages go over internet]

Perhaps use summat like "Freemake" then download and convert to MP4. :cool:

Just had a thought. If you right click on the items inside the folder can you not then "Play with WMP". It may be that you've somehow given those items an instruction to open as emails or something similar.

each copy of recording, when I try to play ,opens as a list of folders not in any sequence ,some sound some no sound, I use vso downloader, which works perfect for any utube recording ,except for ones thst show up as RECORDING while playing or downloading as if it is a way to stop copy.

I am really struggling to understand what it is that you are on about.

If i can understand partially are you trying to download youtube videos to your computer to watch later?

Or have I completely misunderstood the garbled posts? (Can you maybe use full sentences to explain if not?)
