    Depends on your income to debt ratio

    A wealthy person may have credit cards in different currencies, emergency credit cards, a charge card, a charge card for his business. He may also have different kinds of visa cards (Such as infinite) for the extra-benefits.

    I don't think there is a limit per se, but for the standard customer, I'd say that 2-3 was possibly average.
