Need a 4 door saloon about 5-6k
Hi all
Looking for some suggestion
I have 1 kid 1 and a half year and one on way and looking to buy a car about 5k top 7k and really confused.
Should I go for a crossover/SUV, normal saloon or a estate.
I have been looking at mondeo, insignia, mazda 6, avensis or CRV.
My other prob is insurance, I am a fairly new driver 3 years old licence and 3 year no claims so looking for a small engine as the cost goes upto 800 pounds on a 2L engine but is about 600 on 1.6L
Also I dont drive a lot about 2k miles a year may be 3 at the max so fuel efficiency is not really that important for me.

How can anyone tell you if you should buy a 4 door, estate, SUV etc-only you know what you need for your driving and carrying purposes (though I'm tempted to ask what's wrong with a hatchback)?
The size of vehicles you are looking at (eg large saloons or hatchbacks) are going to be a bit underpowered if only 1.6's. Most cars in that class will be 1.8-2l diesels, which are certainly not suitable for what is presumed are short journeys only.
Why such a big car for what will be two toddlers in a couple of years?
And you really don't want a petrol SUV...No free lunch, and no free laptop0
