If anyone had an account with Greenmetroplis - the book selling page - it is now closed.
I expect a few of you had accounts from a long time ago and almost forget about.
I had £19 credit in my account which was blocked so I didn't get to withdraw it, they are not answering emails and the link I had is no longer valid.
"Dear Member,
We would like to thank all our members for their commitment and support over the last 12 amazing years in helping us to recycle and share books. However due to falling sales, it is with great sadness that we must announce the closure of our website. It seems we can no longer compete with the ever increasing postage costs of Royal Mail, and the growing popularity of the Kindle.
Together we've helped keep more books in circulation for longer, helping the environment, and with your help, have raised over £35,000 for our charity partners.
I would also like to personally thank the commitment and dedication of our staff, who have helped build GreenMetropolis into an award winning e-commerce website - and made it an amazing place to work - with many volunteering their time to help support the website - I wish them all the best for the future.
As for the practicalities of closing, please complete any pending orders you may have, but do not place any new orders. Our website will remain active for one more month, allowing time for any pending orders to be completed, and for members to make their final 'Cash-In' requests.
