Happy Birthday Gers,hope its a good'un.
Not had chance to post as its seemed hectic with the DGC ,and DS2 has been off work with lurgy.Minded DGS yesterday instead of Tues as work asked his Mummy to swap her days.
Judi when I was emptying the washer yesterday DGS 15mths was trying to climb into the TD  they get everywhere don't they and he loves dipping his hands in the dogs bowl. Sometimes it's easier taking him outI slept quite well for a change last night,I was shattered by the time he went home;)
Had to go to town this morning to the bank, buy a birthday pressie for a friend tomorrow and called on the market for a few bits, and got the M&S mealdeal, a nice chicken I can s t r e t c h so that can go in the Remoska later they had a few ys items too.
Right I need to go and get the meter readings and input them-dreading this next bill.Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Afternoon all,
Sunny here today, around 11c.....we went for a walk after breakfast and there was a heavy hail shower just as we were getting back into the car.....all bright and sunny again, hopefully no more hail.
Steak, mushrooms, mash for dinner, DD4 and DGS2 will be here as usual.....OH is peeling the potatoes and will do whatever veg he has decided on....we seem to have lots of frozen veg, especially sweetcorn, so I am sure that will figure somewhere in the meal.
Almost finished a pink baby cardigan, which now means that I have 3 in my stash and a blue baby blanket, might do something for myself to use up some of my wool, havent done anything for myself for 3 years.
Dumpling.....would regard it as positive that your DD was aware of bf's history, would also be reassured by her martial arts proficiency.
Csarina....love your idea of taking it easy!
Gers....happy birthday.
Must offer some help with dinner to OH......have a good day everybody

Haven't been on for a number of weeks but have been reading most days. Last week was spent visiting my dm and stepdad. Unfortunately his cancer has spread and he is getting very confused/disorientated. He is now unable to do basic things such as cleaning his teeth, making a drink etc, it is so sad to see. My dm is exhausted but my brother & I have insisted she now asks for some help. Both of us live over 4 hours away so can't do an awful lot on a day to day basis. My younger brother calls in most days but he has a young family to look after.
Also there are redundancies happening where I work, they have to lose 25% of teaching asst hours by August. I am pretty certain my job has gone with the new structure so looking on it as an opportunity to do something more relevant to my college course. I have also managed to get a voluntary placement which I am pleased about.
Tomorrow I have to have an MRI scan as I have a cyst which they want to check out and remove in the next few weeks. They have said they are just doing this as a precaution so I'm not too worried.
OS - not quite sure that I'm doing much of that apart from everyday chores.
Gers - happy birthday, enjoy your day.
Redruby - hope you can relax a bit now your dh has fitted chains etc at your dd house.
Dumpling - (((hugs))) to you, sounds like your dd can look after herself but it doesn't make it any easier for you to stop worrying.
Sorry brain fog means I'm not remembering much. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care0 -

Afternoon all. I'm late on board today! I got off to a bad start with the 3DGDs here for sleepover, brekkie and school run. Then went for a bit of shopping (didn't need much with going away Monday) and then tried fruitlessly to find some collapsible storage boxes. Nice ones with padded lids. B & M usually have some but they had a dire selection. Tried another few places but no luck.
Islandmaid -your bedding is like ours (Dunelm?)
Gers - have a good what's left of your birthday!
Dumpling - like everyone else I'm worried for your DD too. But she sounds able to take care of herself if needed. Maybe he has changed, let's hope so.
3DGDs due back again for tea after swimming club and a big Shepherd's Pie going in the oven shortly. Then another sleepover and school run tomorrow. Then we get a week off!!
Enjoy the rest of your day xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Happy Birthday Gers Hope you have a good day.
Been rotten rainy and damp here ,but my lovely neighbour popped the Aldee vouchers through the door as she doesn't use them.
I will wait until next week before going though as I have enough in stock at the moment .Just put a chicken quarter into the remoska to cook with some cajun chicken spices sprinkled over it. I have some left over cooked new potato's from last night and some left over white cabbage as well, so no veg prep needed I grated some parmesan on top of my cabbage to give it a bit of zing and once reheated in the microwave with the spuds and chicken it will make a tasty meal for me with fresh fruit for pudding.
February is nearly gone chums and its slowly getting lighter in the evenings thank goodness
have a good evening what ever you are doing
