A quick test shows that the cheapest and shortest loan available through CTM is £1000 for 6 months incurring ~£73 interest. However, there is no early repayment fee. I am not great with calculating interest rates but I figure this means about £15 interest if you paid the loan off straight away.

Assuming the average person takes advantage of Meerkat Movies once a month (I used Orange Wednesday a lot less TBH) and that a standard adult movie ticket is £10 this saves £120 for a £15 fee.

Can anyone comment on whether this hit on your credit file is worth it for the saving? If you have a poor credit rating (but qualify for the loan) would this improve it, as it's early repayment? If you have a good credit rating would a short, low, early repaid loan like this have an impact?

    Thanks

You can get a single trip travel insurance for under £5 and get a year's movie membership. That's what I did

Excellent, got car insurance earlier this month through CTM so will download their app. The insurance was with my existing insurer but worked out cheaper as a new policy..........

Wondering if it will be possible to use alongside the cineworld unlimited card like the previous orange product...

If you were still wondering, it does work with the unlimited card :D friend and I went last night, with his unlimited card and my meerkat code, and didn't have to pay.

    Yay!

Cheapest way to get this benefit seems to be to buy a single trip UK travel insurance policy lasting a day. £1.37 for a year's worth of 2 for 1 cinema seems like a bargain to me!
