1. Friend has received a letter and was told he is in Support Group. The letter does not mention anything about Fit Notes; can someone please let me know whether he needs to send Fit Notes or stop sending them?
2. In the Support Group, how long is it for another re-assessment? (He did not need to attend his WCA because of his ill health)
Thank you

if he has been placed in the support group then he does not need to send in any further fit notes
as for being reassessed this can be anything from 3 months to 3 years it all depends on when they decide to do so
its not uncommon for people to be placed in the support group without attending a medical too when the feel he needs to be reassessed they will send him out another ESA questionnaire0 -
he can phone ESA and they will be able to tell him his 'prognosis' ( the time put on the claim)0

Once placed in either the WRAG or Support Group there shouldn't be any need to send Fit Notes but your GP should be informed of that fact. Either call DWP to confirm that you don't have to send them any more or ask your GP when you next see him/her. Don't simply stop sending them if they are still being requested. It can take time for systems to be updated and payment may be suspended if you don't provide evidence, even if in theory it's not required!0

the OP stated the person had already been placed in the SG
as far as i know if your placed in either of the groups then fit notes dont need to be sent in you should tell your friend to call the DWP to confim this0 -
Sorry to hijack your thread but is a 'fit note' the same as a Dr's Sick Note?
My brother hasn't been seen by an Assessor but has been put in a Support Group. Does this mean he doesn't need to send any more Doctor's notes but just has to contact them when he needs to end the claim?0 -
