Panasonic TV - Youtube support

Hi,
I have a Panasonic TV which I bought in 2013. One of the reasons for the purchase was the Smart TV features, mainly the Youtube app.
Recently saw a message pop up stating that the Youtube will no longer be supported after April 30th, 2015. Points me to http://youtube.com/devicesupport
My question is that having owned the TV for just over 2 years, do I have any rights as the TV is no longer providing the service it was sold for?
When I bought it, I wasn't told that the app will only be supported for a certain period of time. I can understand if it had been over 5 years since I bought the TV but its only just over 2 years old.
Any suggestions or do I just have to live with it (or buy a new tv)?
Thanks.

Although not Panasonic, there are a couple of ideas in this recent thread:0

Have you got your date right? You say over 5 years since you bought the TV, but then say 2013?
Doubt you can get any redress from Panasonic, it's not their fault the YouTube have changed their API and they almost certainly wouldn't have known at the time you bought it. You could always add a cheap streaming box and get YouTube back again.0 -
by 14 in black and white TV that I bought in 1972 has stopped working as well , do you think I can get a refund? , like hell
fonera pulled the plug of 1000s of UK users , can they get recompense , no.

Unless the OP has edited their post since you posted (and there's no evidence that they have) then you should go back and read the second sentence of paragraph 4 again.0 -

Was it advertised as including YouTube? Can you find any sort of proof to back this up?
The Sale of Goods Act states that a product must have "fitness for all the purposes for which goods of the kind in question are commonly supplied,"
If it was supplied with the claim that it supported YouTube, and no longer does so, then it would appear to not be of satisfactory quality under the Sale of Goods Act, and could be returned to the retailer for a partial refund.0 -

I'll give this a shot. You never know eh!If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -
You shouldn't have to buy a new TV. Something like the Now TV box could work as a replacement, as it has BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD, Demand 5 and YouTube on it for £9.99:

I have the same problem with a 3 and a half year old Sony Bravia TV which has stopped being updated!0
