is this a scam or genuine (paypal)

i have no idea what it means and google has made me none the wiser. any help would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like when they closed your account you had a negative sterling balance but a small euro balance, so the euro balance has gone towards paying off your negative balance.

As there is no link and the email correctly asks you to log in yourself to your PayPal account I would suggest it is legit.

Sounds perfectly feasible. Did you log in to check?

Send the email to spoof@paypal.com that will soon tell you if its a fake email. Or log into the account DO NOT click on any links go direct to paypal.

They tend to say their own emails are spoofs....far far easier to log in and find out what's gone on. If nothing, then ignore the email.

the account is still active as just transferred £20 from bank to paypal

i have -£58 due to a chargeback case and obv will rectify the amount back to normal via bank

i did log in but no mention of this at all just as it has been all week the top shows you the - balance although less than it was after transferring some cash

Did you check your other currencies (assuming you have them).

If you have a negative balance they will take it from any monies coming in and or demand you rectify it.

double checked and only deal in GBP

i understand any money going in comes off the minus balance hence why i transferred what i had in bank today to paypal to try and help

also so they could see i am trying as quickly as possible to rectify the balance
