Do I open the Halifax Clarity CC now?

Hi, I'm visiting both Vegas In November and want to take a CC just incase and to use when I'm out there.
Also need to apply for the ESTA before we travel which is roughly a $15 charge per person. So do I apply for the card early and use it when I pay for the ESTA rather then get charged using my normal cc.

Or is there a better CC for using abroad?

Sounds like a good plan. I'm going east, not west, in a few months and got a Clarity card and have been paying for stuff with it already.

I believe there are a few other cards as good but none better.

Clarity is the best, but, most likely, will save you no more than 30p when paying for ESTA

I'm going in October, and got my Clarity a few months ago so I could request a limit increase before I went.

Get it now.

Use it regularly, clearing the balance in full.

You might get a limit increase just before you travel.
