I have no problem putting it on while I'm not around or even putting it on last thing at night and coming down to a delicious smelling kitchen in the morning with food all done I then can portion it up and allow to cool before freezing what ever I have cooked.0

We tend to be out of the house from 7.30ish am to 6pm and in winter my slow cooker is my friend I use it almost everyday and never had a problem, even when the sauce has completely dried to a crisp!
Previous to myself using my slow cooker for around 6 years (we've had 2 seperate ones) my mum used to use hers since I was a wee thing, and my sisters use theirs and weve never (touch wood) had any problems.
Though I will never leave the washing machine on while I'm not in the house just encase it floods the place!
Stupid double standard lol!Nessy x

Stupid double standard lol!
in your mind a washing machine could cause a flood or fire - so is double the risk of your slow cooker which can only cause a fire0 -

I've never (and I've searched) so far found any instance where a SC has done anything bad while people were out.
obviously not very thoroughly

Though I would say that the dangers of a slow cooker are no different to any other electrical item0
