Free Phone Number for E.oN

I object to paying high phone charges to ring energy companies so I found a free phone number for E.oN.
It is 0800 051 2193 It says on the letter I had that it is for a large print bill or braille. But I tried it anyway and it worked and nobody told me off!
So keep a note of it if you are with E.oN.

As I find it preferable to call these sort of companies from my mobile I use a free app called WeQ4u. This allocates a non-geographic (i.e local) number to the call but the really really clever bit is should you hit a queue (and let's face it when it comes to Eon you WILL!) then simply press 9 and * and the app suspends your call (thereby not eating into your calls allowance) then re-connects you once a CS bod has actually answered. It's a genius idea and has saved me loads of money since installing it.0

High phone charges?? I don't understand? High as in any charges at all? You do know that 03 numbers (which most suppliers including E.ON use to some extent) are UK landline numbers, and charge no more than ringing your friend/family/neighbour etc? And if you have free calls to landlines, they are included in those too?
You can read more about 03 numbers here:
