Looking for Centre Parks type ideas

I was looking for a weekend break for my wife's birthday - would be us and two small kids aged 5 and 8.

Centre Parks looks ideal and the price is not too bad however they only offer 3 night packages - arrive Friday and leave on Monday, which seems to me to be a bit of a con since most people would have to leave on Sunday evening in order to work Monday.

Can anyone recommend something similar anywhere south of Birmingham which would be both good for kids and adults regardless of weather?

It's hardly a con. We've done it a few times and we leave Monday lunchtime.

Have you looked at Centerparcs in Europe, sometimes the ferry cost and accommodation works out less than the UK CP price.
