Credit Card Execution 2015

Thanks guys :j
I have £1190.50 to pay off to get sub £10k on CCs, which is my next tangible target. If I have a good month workwise in March, I may be very close in April, but more like to go sub £10k in May.
I seem to see a recurring thread in other diaries, whereby we wish away time until the next payday or payment to see progress. But I really can't let this define my time. I have a hilarious tot who is coming out with new things every day (singing "I love you circle, oh yes I doooo") and have about 60miles to run each week for the next 3 weeks prior to easing up before the marathon.
Thankfully I have very little time to spend money on things, but my groceries are a bit more expensive as I eat a ridiculous amount to make up for calorific deficit and some of it is convenience for speed.
Sigh.
Nothing much to report today other than I put £20 on my cater card at work. Normally I'd put £30 on every week but I haven't put money on in over a fortnightnot as good as I need to be, but it's a step in the right direction!
Hope you're all having a lovely Tuesday.

You will see that in my diary but the thing is - even though I am counting down, literally, to my DFD, there is no way I will miss a second of enjoyment doing it. What's the point in having a life and not living it? I'm also planning for when I am DF, not waiting until it happens to start planning. So counting down doesn't have to be negative, it's positively positiveDebt - CCV £3792

Yep, I hear you re the wishing time away thing! I have to say our lives have really been no 'worse' on our DFW journey. It's hard not to count down to pay days and bill days a bit but bits between are good tooTotal Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

Oh dear, it's been a while hasn't it!
I've just been plodding along with being as tight as possible and not spending where I don't need to, other than a desperate trip to N5ndo's after a 20 mile run on Sunday. I needed protein..... :j
We've just had a lovely Easter. T3sco had an Easter egg hunt box for £7 which I bought to do a hunt for little man (3.5yo). There were 45ish eggs in the box and we had a wild time hiding them on Sunday night, for wee man to search for yesterday morning.
He was dashing inside and out in a frenzy for about half an hour trying to find them all. Much to my surprise, when he was done, he offered one egg to Daddy, one to me and ate one himself. He then just left them in a big serving bowl on the dining table and paid no more attention to them.....
Is that normal for a child?!:rotfl:
Well, as of yesterday evening, I asked if he would like me to rehide all the eggs so he could hunt them again. No sooner were the words out of my mouth than he was running upstairs so he couldn't peek!
Cue an evening of hunting and rehiding the eggs. But still none more eaten. But we agreed to melt some down tonight to make cornflake crispy cakes.
I've just put in my invoice for the month of March, and it's about £600 more than normal so that will be straight on CC1 after payday (15th), minus the tax I will have to set aside on this extra amount.
How was Easter for yous?

So it was payday today, and I've been busy doing my end of year accounts for the business.
The good news is I think I've over-provisioned for tax, so I will have much less to put aside in the coming months, so should have extra pennies available. :j
I'm setting up all my spreadsheets for the new financial year, and am going to run my personal accounts in the same way. For some reason, when you have to detail every incoming and outgoing, it's a whole lot more tangible and you don't want to spend a penny!
I've just updated my signature with all the initial payments that get made when I pay myself. There should be plenty more to come this month, however I have the London Marathon in 11 days and there will be some expense in the run up to that: the proper gels, jelly beans (yes, really) and things like train fares and the cost to print my name on my vest!
The charity fundraising isn't going as well as I'd hoped, which is really getting me down. But hopefully I'll get there.

Oh, and I forgot to add, I've had a fair few eBay wins, so should be putting about another £250 on a CC by the end of this week or middle of next!
Forgot that, that's a nice wee boost. I'm hoping to top it up to about £340, so it's a whole 1% I've ticked off.0 -
Eek! Looks like I'm only updating my diary on pay days!
I'll aim to do more.
So it's been a busy month, I completed the London Marathon but was shamefully slow. I sprained my ankle around mile 15, as someone threw down a bottle of water in my path and tripped me up, so the last 11 or so miles were hell, but I got there in the end!
I've updated my signature, which is always nice to do. Into the double figures of percentage debt paid off!
I've just logged in to my H4lifax account tho, and can't see my credit card on the list of accounts. I closed it a few months ago but it still has a high balance on it (CC1), but I can't find it on mobile/desktop/app versions of their website! Sounds like a trip to see them tomorrow as I'm fearful of there being charges.
It's not been a great month for pay, as I had a fair bit of time off regarding the marathon and recovery and a lot of physio. But May should be a good month and I'm at about £200 of overtime this week already
Be back soon!! xx0 -
Hmmm so I have a bit of a confession. I've been doing some cheeky betting to just get a bit extra paid off each week. £20 here and there on "safe" bets for a couple of quid profit.
What's the general opinion on this??

The betting sounds like very bad idea to me I'm afraid!
