I recently apply for a Halifax credit card with free balance transfers, someone told me that I may not be able to transfer my sainsbury balance into the Halifax card because they are part of the same group, can you help?

Bank of Scotland operate Sainsbury's Bank from their HQ in Edinburgh. BoS is part of the Halifax-Bank of Scotland group so it's unlikely that they will let you do the BT from Sainsbury's Bank to Halifax.0
