Help! Second hand PC wiping?!

I hope you can help. My sister purchased a second hand pc off her daughters friends mum. However when she started up the pc she discovered that the family all have their own individual logins to access the computer (of which she has no details eg username or password) We can log in by typing guest as a username, with no password and clicking OK, and then the desktop comes. When accessed we discover the computer still has all the previous owners photos, videos and downloads etc:rolleyes: . She has asked my OH to wipe the computer completely, eg, return it back to 'factory' settings and then reinstall windows xp for her. However, because we can only login as a Guest it comes up with a message along the lines of we don't have the authority to do anything.
Can anyone help us access or wipe this pc without the usernames or password?
TIA:A

    Hi
If you wipe everything off the PC completely you will have to re-install Windows again afterwards.
Have you got the Windows XP installation disc CD?

try typing administrator (or admin, im not sure which) instead of guest on the login screen. hopefully they wont of set a password for the admin account and you can get full access to the system

    OK
Perhaps someone on the forum will be able to explain to you how to go about doing the install.
(I haven't got the know how)

Its not so much the install we have a problem with as OH has done this to a different computer before. It's the wiping 'clean' of the computer first, as we can't login to the computer, that we're having the trouble with! Would be so much easier if previous owner could remember their username and password to access the computer
