    I am new to this.
Can I use the voucher, but NOT buy the book, so I get money off my shopping instead?
    Thanks.

Mine didn't scan in Tesco and he tried typing the code and that didn't work either and I got him to try several times but no luck. I had spent over £60 as well.

Just got back from Asda using the self scan. It wouldn't work for me so I asked the male SA to help me. He just did exactly the same as me and it scanned no prob! ( I was buying 6 more copies of the DM with it!) So I think the coupon prefers men!!

I have an idea if the voucher doesn't scan - shove whatever you are 'buying' up your jumper and just walk out with it!

This isn't moneysaving its just plain theft in my book. No pun intended!

Welcome to MSE Longman and thankyou for your valuable contribution to this thread.

Patience and perseverance are required with this one guys. I've just used two more of the original coupons on the self scans in Tesco and Asda. They were a real headache to scan but they did eventually go through. I chatted to one of the SA's and she said sometimes the bar codes on the coupons are problematic because they're either printed blurry or the bar lines are too thin so the machines find it difficult to pick it up.

Thanks for the link, where does it actually come from? Is it linked to the Daily Mail website?

Can this voucher be used more than once?
