No, cannot remember being asked to do so . I applied for the free 12 month card, through this site.

Both my mum and i entered this through MSE, it was a comp where the winners won annual memberships, there were 2500 to give away and those who didnt win would get a 2 month free membership. There was no need to enter any card/bank details.

The emails are going out today as both my mum and I have had an email today, I was a lucky winner My mum didnt win in her email there was no mention of the 2 month free trial just a special offer where she could get a discounted 12 month membership for £24. So not sure what happened to the 2 free months

Tastecard is different, although both work in the same way (different companies). I always get my Gourmet Society using Nectar points, but now i have a 2 month free trial on my phone, there's no card, I just show the app in the restaurant.

Yeah maybe I am on the 2 month trial as did both around same time.

The gourmet card comp was definitely announced today as got an email to say had won the 12 month membership 😊

I too didn't get the 12 months membership and feel let down by the gourmet society as they haven't offered the 2 months free they promised.

Hi folks,

Thanks very much for your feedback. We spotted a few people getting this 'discounted membership' email yesterday and got in touch with Gourmet Society about it. Apparently that email was sent in error and everyone who applied through MSE and didn't get a 12 month membership, should shortly get their free two month membership by email. Do check your emails and your junk folder. You do not need to enter ANY card details to get it - it is a completely free two month membership.
