People are like sheep in the UK, they don't vote for the best candidate, they vote what their family has traditionally voted for without a thought. If the best candidate was voted in, someone who actually had some experience of running something, then they should be paid more than £67k. One of my main bugbears regarding MP's is that even though they are self employed they still get a pension after 5 years of working as an MP.0
