Pothole claim agreed but not sure yet
Hi all,
I took the advice from moneysavingexpert and submitted a freedom of information request and at the same time I submitted the bill for repairs and my bank details.
They replied saying they would pay me in full within 3 weeks but would like to know if I wish for them to continue with the freedom of information request or not.
If I tell them not to bother with the information request can they then decide that they are not going to pay me after all ? I have an email from them today saying they will pay me in full.
Thanks for any advice

What harm will it do waiting for the FOI request results? You've got the outcome you wanted, let them do the work YOU asked for.0 -
Alternatively, just ask for the chequ and once received give them confirmation that you don't wish to pursue the FOI request. It's a bit unreasonable tying up council resources if they're going to settle your claim.0
