Not a great deal, you could do better. Compare the deal with one of the online car brokers. I would be cautious of buying an ex-demonstrator.

Is this from experience? What tends do be the issue with them?

I admit the car itself isn't particularly aesthetic especially at that price and the 2 series is quite bizarre!

The fact they call is a display model and not a demostrator would make me wonder how the display model managed 5000 miles.

    Big showroom?

Have you looked at the cheaper ones on the autotrader site yet and thought why is the one you looked at so expensive?

Nothing much wrong with buying a demo as long as you accept it's been driven, sometimes to extremes (particular an M135i), by many people with varying driving skills and potentially had the the odd bodywork repair here and there.

I don't particularly like the car, but that's bye the bye. This is simply part of BMWs, amongst others, way of protecting their lower than average depreciation curve. You will not get a great cash deal on a new BMW unless you are part of the network. Residuals are maintained by charging list and readily leasing and financing through trusted networks; the cream of the crop come back as the 2 -3 year old Approved BMWs you see in the glass and chrome palaces.
Good business plan and it generally works. Compare that to the list price at Fords, which is a joke book that no-one actually buys at.
This car is too expensive having run up to its maximum mileage as a demo/managers/made-up reason car.
