Has anyone used RoadServe?
Recently came across Roadserve whilst searching through the royal mail employee benefits online. the advertised price is £89.99 per year however the royal mail price is £12.99 or caravan club price is £11.99. It offers to bring members the benefits that can usually only be enjoyed by fleet car drivers.
The main advantages are threefold:
Job control - a professional, technical expert works with the repairer to ensure that all work proposed is absolutely necessary and justified. For example, that the wear level on brake pads or discs is such that it warrants changing.
Cost control - using manufacturer and industry standard data, maintenance controllers check that the right amount of hours are being charged, and the right amount of consumables such as lubricants etc are being used.
Thirdly, as part of a fleet maintenance scheme, members enjoy the discounts we are able to negotiate with repairers.
Basically they claim to save an average of 30% off service and repair bills, equally to hundreds and even thousands of pounds for some people. However i cant find much info or reviews online so leaves me a bit sceptical, but at £12 my be worth a punt.
Just want to know if anyone has had experience with this company before?

It says 'works with'
Sounds more like an intermediary auditing the proposed work/costs/parts etc.0 -
Hello. you have to ask MSE to be a rep for your company on this site.
more information in the forum rules.
How do I get a right of reply on what's been said about my company?
If you're from a company, have seen a post you feel is misleading or offensive, and would like the right of reply, please email the Forum Team at forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
A member of the MSE Team will carry out checks to confirm you are authorised to represent the company in question.
Provided you have the authority, you may either be asked to give a statement, which one of the MSE Team will post on your behalf, or be given permission to post directly on the specific thread.
Where permission has been given for you to post directly on a thread, a note from the MSE Team will appear on the thread confirming this.
If someone has posted claiming to be from a company but this has not been followed by a MSE Team note confirming we've authorised it, please use the warning triangle in the bottom right of the post to report it, or email the link to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
There's a single exception to this rule. If you're from a company and have a discount code you'd like to offer MoneySavers, this rule is waived in the Great Want to Offer MoneySavers a Discount? Hunt.
You can post your discount once only, on that thread, but nowhere else on the forum. And you shouldn't post about your company anywhere else on the forum0 -
So how do you justify dropping the price from £90 to £12?
ETA and your website doesn't work.0 -
I would suggests you edit your first post here with removed pending approval of MSE to be a representative or youll end up with a perma ban from the site. once your approved, you can the re edit to include your information. But even reps have rules you need to stick to IF approved.0

Can't get in via a proxy either.
Seems a good way to instantly destroy the relationship built up over years with your trusted (why would you deal with someone you don't trust) garage.
I can just imagine the reaction from my scrupulously fair dealing gentleman indy if i informed him that some unheard of company on the internet was going to vet his work and charges and somehow going to inspect every single widget from afar to confirm it actually needed replacement, if i was daft enough to try this i'd do a Billy Bunter and stuff the yellow pages down me britches so his steel toe cap didn't do me a mischief as i hobbled away for the last time.
£12 would buy 4 or 5 Greggs breakfast roll and coffee deals, that's where my £12 is going.0 -
£12? They will come and hold my hand at the garage whenever i take it in and make sure i get charged the correct amount and dont get ripped off. for £12 a year?
How will they make money on that?
Not only does the website not work, They cannot even get the address correct when registering it.
