ebay/paypal refund

Hi


Ive returned an ebay item back and requested a refund which has been refunded today. I logged onto paypal and can see the transaction in my history and the amount has a + sign to say amount refunded, however my balance is showing 0 so I cant withdraw money back into my bank account?


Does it take time before I can withdraw? and is there a charge? The amount refunded is £4.40

there is most probably a hold placed on the refund.
If you look at the refund transaction in paypal it will tell you if there is a hold in place, these usually clear within a week.

How did you fund it, if by bank or card Paypal can take 30 days to return it to the funding source.

My PayPal is linked to my bank, I have my debit card registered. There's no mention of hold or anything.

I tend to fund via my bank account and any refunds i get are always placed on hold for 7 days.

after that time does it show on your balance so you can withdraw into your bank Account?

If it was funded from your bank card Paypal return it there. It can take 30 days.

The reason for the delay is that although your transaction seems instant, Paypal take time to verify they had the funds from you in the first instant and then must return them cleared.

Usually when im refunded a payment i paid using my bank account, the refund clears back into your paypal account in 7 days.
