Is it a Packaged Monthly account then?
If so downgrade it to a bog standard account, repay the fees and interest accrued, and then your friend should have no trouble in getting the account closed and marked as settled on his credit files.
I'm also happy with Lloyds Bank. In fact I wished I'd switched to them a lot sooner. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
WARNING:
Don't go overdrawn on a bank account. Utilise it to earn you money instead.

As one of my savings accounts I have no problem with Lloyds (so far).0
