How long does it take for a cash withdrawal to show.

I have just had a mis-fire on an ATM but the amount I intended to take out has not yet shown on my online account. How long does it normally take? Didn't get the cash, but concerned it may have been debited.

I think the available balance has to be affected pretty much instantly.
The transaction can show later.

with the coop bank its instant if from a ATM , but takes about 5 days to show the actual sales online


I have 5 items (I bought via debit card) ranging from last thus to today (Monday) it shows available balance but the actual buys arn,t shown

I think it depends on the bank and where you took the money out. If it's your bank's own machine or a Link machine, usually immediately or the next working day. If it's taken over another network (for example when abroad) it can take a little longer.

As mentioned above the available balance will usually be updated pretty swiftly.
