Alternative to ebay???

Depends on what you are selling really.
I find that I sell things such as designer clothing and computer supplies for more on ebid than I can get for them at ebay.

Certain product areas on ebay are a no-go for UK sellers as they cannot compete with the Chinese, so make no money at all.

You always have to ask to join- so allow a day for the admin to approve, read the rules of each site as some admin are very fierce and will ban you if you don't follow the rules. Most are roughly the same though, they need a photo, a description with all damage noted, then your location- keep it fairly local so mention 'near xx school postcode xx' or similar and also state whether it is listed on more than one site.

That's it really, wait for someone to contact you via facebook- always use cash and be warned that there is a very high failure rate of people turning up to buy when they say they will.
