Florida as cheap as possible!

Looking to take a family of 4 to Florida as cheaply as possible (july - October 2015). Does anyone know how to get the best deals for my money? Do I book now or late as I'm not held to specific holidays at work?
Any help would be really appreciated!

Book outside the school holidays, so after the first week in September. The weather can be hot and humid throughout our summer, that's why Americans go at different times, "mad dogs and englishmen etc."
Stay off site in somewhere like International Drive but whatvere you do it won't be cheap. Disney put up admission rates this weekend, it is now over $100 plus tax per day so look at buying tickets for as long as you want in advance.
As regards flights, look at prices now, there may be a BA sale after Easter, there are fewer charter flights, which normally come down in price the closer you get to departure day, this year, Monarch aren't flying at all so you are left with Thomas Cooks and Thomsons, who try not to sell flight only if they can help it. Look at Skyscanner to see prices now, don't book accommodation until you have your flights arranged0 -
