Norton error, Bios update, Ebay crash!!

Yesterday for no apparent reason Norton stopped working and it recommended I reinstalled it. I clicked the link and it reinstalled ok, as the computer restarted a HP Bios update appeared and installed itself. Everything seemed ok until I've just been on Ebay. I can get onto Ebay but can't sell as I get the verify your account message repeatedly. I have to receive a phone call and type in a pin, it then asks me to choose a payment method as if I'm a new user, it then takes me to the sell page but I'm then sent back to verify your account! The last time this happened was when I got my new laptop and Ebay wouldn't recognise it as it wouldn't store the flash cookie. It took ages to sort the problem out so would appreciate any help.
I'm assuming the bios update has cleared the Ebay flash cookie, can someone please tell me how to reset it. I've a HP pavilion, using windows 8.1, internet explorer.

Have just read through Ebay flash cookie help page and clicked the link and Ebay shows as an added site on Adobe, along with Paypal.0

Ebay wouldn't add anything to the BIOS.
Uninstall Norton - fully - don't just use their own un-installer, then see if you can sell on eBay.0 -
