hi everyone i foolishly allowed a family member to run up my catalogue now she has stopped paying and the catalogue won't transfer the debt to her even though she signed for everything at her address, where do i stand if it goes to bailiffs etc im on benefits her partner works0

I've come across cases where the catalogue company transferred the account to the other party where that person admitted opening an account in someone's name without their consent.
But here you have consented and so this may be more difficult. Does she accept that everything on the account is due to her?
I wonder which catalogue this is and whether they have a rep here like the ISME rep above.0 -
Unfortunately it looks like your stuck with liability for this, unless your "freind" fesses up to being the guilty party, which I would say is doubtful.
