We must realise that there are those amongst us who like having a laugh - and will set themselves up as a newby - start a thread to which there will be many people airing their views and be sitting in the background chuckling away at posters having a ding dong with each other.

I think the more logical explanation is that people are so rude to the OP that they can't be bothered to reply. Some people see trolls everywhere. Unless I see evidence otherwise I act in good faith. If you think it's a troll thread ignore it.

If you look at other threads under other headings on this or any other forum it seems pretty obvious that posters will duplicate themselves (for wont of a better word) post a "problem" and then join in the forum thread either arguing with themselves or agreeing with themselves.
