    The thread you've linked to only quotes three people who've been asked for documents, and several more who haven't, so it's likely that only a small minority of FD customers were asked to prove their identity. I've been with FD for 25 years and they've never asked me for any ID.

    I have only clocked up just over 10 years with them. Also never got asked for ID. Same with all other banks.
