"real" ingredients vent

The Knorr stock cube advert with Marco Pierre White claiming that they are made from "real ingredients" has been annoying me for a while.

Now I see that Walkers are advertising some deli crisps that are also made from "real ingredients"

So what sort of ingredients would you use if you didn't have any real ones - imaginary ones ?

  • I suspect they mean ingredients that didn't start life in a reaction vessel.

    I hate that too.

That and people looking for products without all those chemicals.
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Synthetic flavourings, artificial sweeteners, monosodium glutamate & cheaper versions of things (vanillin instead of vanilla etc).

    Bleuch!

What annoys me more about the MPW ad is that surely there's no way someone like him would use the product.

I don't like Michael Parkinson's "over 50's Plan" ad either - using his trusted reputation to sell a financial product that might not be the best product for a particular person.

Doesn't sound very money saving either! No cover for first two years, you may pay in more than you get out and if you want to stop paying you get nothing back. A bit one sided me thinks!

I've noticed they've re-done that advert recently to be less confrontational and accusatory, not sure if they got complaints, the regulators stepped in or the old advert wore out due to overuse.:D
