BT from a store card?

Thanks to the idiots over at GE my store card now has a positive balance of about £18 (they can't even tell me exactly until my statement is processed ).

Can I BT this to my Egg Money card or will it cost me?

I just really want to get the credit back off the card without spending it in the store!

    But it's not a debt...it's a positive balance.

Then why not ask GE to send you a cheque or BACS transfer it to your current account?

    as he said exactly!
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"

GE won't send a cheque or BACS it as the card is issued by my employer and it's against their terms apparently

  • They'll send a cheque to the account holder if the £18 sits on the account and isn't used. If you kick off enough of a fuss, though, they can send out a cheque there and then.
